Franchise

Do you have an entrepreneurial spirit and an outgoing personality with some practical grounding, located in the lower 48 states of the United States of America and are interested in being your own boss? If so, then read on.

The Asset

We have a brand new 2025 truck and electronics right here in Atlanta GA ready to be purchased under a franchising umbrella. The truck is a mobile 3D digital LED seamless billboard advertising truck for sale now (December 2025)! The term seamless means that the truck has abutting side and rear screens making it capable of displaying wrap around and 3D anamorphic videos in a realistic manner.

Purchasing Risk

Most companies do not have trucks available for immediate delivery with trucks having to be built to order and requiring a hefty deposit. From a customer standpoint, this is a significant risk. It is unlikely the provider will accept a credit card deposit, and even if they do, this may not be recoverable if they do not perform as anticipated. Often, delivery dates slip and prices are hiked. Components are often sourced from offshore suppliers exposing a customer, you, to tariffs, customs delays, products that don’t work or are damaged when they arrive and the list of vendor excuses goes on and on. Worse still, what happens if the company fails, where is your $50,000 cash deposit then… Considering used? There are very few, if any, seamless digital LED billboard trucks for sale. I wonder why, is that because they are hidden gems? The trucks that are for sale are for sale for a reason. The generators and screens have finite lives, so your first task is probably that of an overhaul of technology that you are not familiar with and we’re not even getting into the chassis cab that has 100,000 miles on it.

Franchise Models and Risk

Typical Real Estate Based Model

Most franchise opportunities that actually make a profit are usually based around an asset that is used to generate cash flow, and to be less abstract, this usually means they are heavily real estate based. For example, the real estate is used to host a restaurant, print shop, dog groomer, nail salon, hair dresser, tanning salon etc., etc. located in a strip mall with the franchisee responsible for rent payments right from day one. Often times the rented space has to be modified to meet the franchiser’s requirements and this is usually referred to as build out costs. Build out costs are not insignificant and are typically the responsibility of the franchisee, you. So, before you get started you are responsible for rent and build out. Worse still, often rent is due while the build out is being performed so you can end up in a situation where you are at the mercy of the general contractor (GC) performing the work, to complete that work to time and cost. Sadly, we know how that goes these days…

Then, when the real estate is completed, the franchisee has to be present to make sales or manage staff. If the franchisee is not present and pays a manager, most models we have seen result in any profit that is being generated being used to pay the manager. Based on tax returns for small, less than $500K, franchises they do not make much profit.

Next, having signed the franchise and lease agreements, the franchisee is bound into mid to long-term agreements. Most commercial leases are at least three years and often five. They are triple net leases meaning the franchisee has to pay the taxes and insurance as well as any repairs to the property, for example, maintain the HVAC system. Plus, there is usually an escalation clause so that rent increases annually.

Finally, what if the real estate franchise doesn’t meet your expectations? What is the exit plan? Can you recover your build out costs? One thing is certain, you cannot change location and try another market.

Our Model

Here’s where we believe we have a very attractive alternative. Yes, there is an asset to purchase, but once purchased, the asset has value that can be sold if you really need to exit. Billboard trucks of this capability, that are new or close to new, are not common and most have to be built to order so you would have one ready for sale and available for anyone in the United States to purchase. The sale of the truck would have to comply with the franchise agreement, but it can be sold on. An even easier option would be for us to purchase the truck back and release you from the franchise. Obviously, we do not want to traverse this path, but it offers a level of security to the franchisee that is simply not available with a real estate based franchise.

Other Stuff You May Need to Know

Financing and Required Startup Capital

Yes, this business requires an asset purchase, which can be financed, but once that is taken care of the running costs are low. Under certain circumstances we may be able to offer owner financing, meaning the financing is not through a third party lender and is provided by us, the franchiser. The minimum required start up capital is $80,000 liquid.

Licensing

You can drive your own truck or hire a driver without having special licensing, and there are very few cities or counties either incorporated or unincorporated that have local ordinances that have to be complied with. Digital billboard trucks are relatively new, and most cities have not yet written municipal (muni) code to legislate them. The obvious exception being Las Vegas and even there the muni code is fair and reasonable and welcomes mobile digital LED billboard trucks.

Exit Plan

If your 3D Billboard Truck franchise goes well, the scope of expansion is unlimited. If the Franchise doesn’t work in the initial area you had planned, then unlike real estate, you simply work another area. And worst case, if you really can’t make the franchise work, we have models to purchase back the main asset (the billboard truck) and release you from the franchise agreement.

Support

If you feel like you have the the skills mentioned at the top of this page then we can teach you the technology, provide your web site, make the advertising content (3D videos), advise on tax compliance, walk you through an accounting system, support the truck and generally help you set up your business.

Available Now

We have a new truck (new electronics and new Isuzu chassis) available now and located here in Georgia that is assigned and ready for franchising. When this truck is taken, a typical wait time for new build is usually around four months and no, we won't ask you for a deposit to build a truck!
