Campaign Types
We offer two basic campaign types, exclusive use of a truck, or a time slice advert much like a static digital billboard. Each of these campaign types can incorporate video or static images.
Time Slice or Shared Campaign
We follow a digital billboard model with six advertising slots rotating throughout the minute. Each advertiser receives a dedicated 10-second slot every minute, so your advertisement is displayed once per minute. The advert can be either a static image or a video.
Because the truck is shared with other advertisers, routes and venues are selected to provide value to all participating businesses. In return, the cost is significantly lower, per unit time, than reserving the truck exclusively for a single advertiser.
Our drivers can easily switch between video and static content from the cab. In general, we prefer to display video when the truck is moving slowly or stopped, as your advert will attract more attention. When the truck is moving at higher speeds, static images can often communicate the message more clearly during the shorter viewing time available.
Exclusive Use Campaign
With an exclusive-use campaign, you have complete control over the truck. You decide where it travels, where it parks, and what content is displayed. Exclusive use campaigns are more effective as whenever the truck is viewed it will be displaying your advert.
There is no requirement to rotate adverts every 60 seconds, and your content is not limited to 10-second slots. However, we generally recommend using a combination of static images and video rather than displaying a single image continuously. Changes in content tend to attract more attention than a completely static display.
One of the main advantages of a mobile digital billboard truck compared to a static digital billboard is location flexibility. The truck can travel to the areas where your target audience is located and can move between multiple locations throughout the day. This allows a campaign to reach people in different places rather than relying on a single fixed advertising location.
For National and International Brands
Campaigns often focus on major events and high-traffic locations such as:
- Concerts
- Sporting events
- Festivals
- Trade shows
- Conventions
In these cases, the objective is typically to maximize exposure to large audiences.
For Local Businesses
For local business that are looking for local customers the best approach may be to pick routes and parking spots that showcase your business to a concentrated local market. Some examples of businesses that might prefer this type of campaign are:
- Franchise expansion
- Grand opening
- Retail store
- Restaurant promotion
- Healthcare provider
Many local businesses are located on roads with significant traffic volumes but receive limited visibility from existing signage. A mobile digital billboard truck can be used to increase awareness of the business among people who regularly pass the location but may not otherwise know of your business.
A useful resource when planning a local campaign is the Georgia Department of Transportation traffic data map. The interactive map allows you to view traffic counts for specific roads and intersections. This information can help determine whether the best location for a truck is directly outside your business or at a nearby location with higher traffic volumes.
